These two are not rivals in the usual sense. According to a release dated March 24, 2022 and published on the WorldWinner corporate site, FanDuel Group launched FanDuel Faceoff "in partnership with Game Taco", under a multi-year, exclusive partnership that gives FanDuel access to Game Taco's content library. Game Taco, Inc. was renamed WorldWinner in October 2023, so the company behind the WorldWinner platform is the same company that supplies Faceoff.

In neutral terms, FanDuel Faceoff suits someone who already has a FanDuel account and wants a small set of skill games inside that account. WorldWinner suits someone who wants the larger catalog, browser play, and WorldWinner's own tournament formats and loyalty programs. Both let adults compete for cash prizes where available, and both also offer free play.

No. WorldWinner powers FanDuel Faceoff under an exclusive partnership. WorldWinner is not owned by FanDuel or Flutter. WorldWinner is operated by WorldWinner (formerly Game Taco, Inc., renamed in October 2023), which is backed by Platinum Equity. Game Taco acquired WorldWinner from GSN and Sony in May 2021.

The 2022 release describes the arrangement as a partnership and says nothing about an acquisition. The same release describes FanDuel Group as a subsidiary of Flutter Entertainment plc. The App Store listing for FanDuel Faceoff names FanDuel, Inc. as the developer and FanDuel Limited as the seller, so Faceoff itself is a FanDuel product.

The launch release named four Game Taco titles: Grand Slam Superstar, Wheel of Fortune, King's Crossing, and Block Trail. As of 2026-09-20 the App Store listing for FanDuel Faceoff names 13 games: Galaxy Match, Solitaire Sprint, Jordan Spieth's Fairway Frenzy, Wheel of Fortune, Puzzle Pyramid, Swish Showdown, BOGGLE, SCRABBLE Cubes, Gronk Spike Cornhole, Buena Match, Block Trail, Field Goal Faceoff, and Grand Slam Superstar.

Four of those names also appear in WorldWinner's current lineup: Wheel of Fortune, BOGGLE, SCRABBLE Cubes, and Block Trail. Neither company publishes a statement that the versions are identical in rules, scoring, or prize structure, so this guide does not assume they are. WorldWinner lists more than 30 current titles, including betas, and runs formats such as Head-to-Head, multiplayer tournaments, Survivor, JackPOP, and Mega Events. FanDuel describes head-to-head and multiplayer contests on Faceoff, with entries "starting as low as 60 cents" according to its App Store listing. WorldWinner cash tournament entry fees start as low as $0.88, with typical entries up to $5 and premium tournaments at $10 or more.

Licensed names such as Wheel of Fortune, SCRABBLE, and BOGGLE belong to their respective trademark owners and appear here only to identify the games each service lists.

The two services describe matching in similar language, which is unsurprising given the shared supplier. FanDuel states on fanduel.com/faceoff that skill-matching "is the process of matching real players together in a contest who possess a similar level of skill for that specific game title". WorldWinner states that opponents are matched by a per-game skill rating and that players never face bots.

FanDuel's App Store listing says players compete "against opponents of similar skill levels on the same board". WorldWinner's help center says all players within the same tournament receive the same starting hand, board layout, or cards, with stated exceptions covered on the fair play page.

These are company statements. This guide has not audited either matching system. No court record or regulator action specific to FanDuel Faceoff was found in primary or established-outlet sources as of 2026-09-20, so none is reported here.

FanDuel's App Store listing says Faceoff prizes land in the FanDuel Wallet, where they can be used for another game, withdrawn, or put toward a FanDuel Daily Fantasy lineup. WorldWinner balances sit in a WorldWinner account. Neither company's pages describe a shared login or a way to move a balance between the two services.

On published withdrawal timing, Faceoff is faster. FanDuel states that PayPal and prepaid card withdrawals can take up to 48 hours to be approved, online banking takes 3 to 5 business days, and checks may take up to 14 business days after approval. It also states that withdrawing by online banking, prepaid card, or PayPal requires a prior deposit by that method, and that some states limit withdrawal options.

For WorldWinner, the minimum withdrawal is $1.75. WorldWinner's terms allow a $1.75 processing fee on check requests under $10. Withdrawals return to the original deposit method first. Card and PayPal withdrawals can take 7 to 10 business days, and checks up to 8 weeks. A deposit is required before withdrawing, and withdrawing forfeits all Bonus Bucks.

Bonuses differ in size. WorldWinner offers a 100% first-deposit match up to $200, paid in Bonus Bucks, which cannot be withdrawn.
