How to play YAHTZEE: Roll Dice, Win Cash

Objective
Score as many points as possible by filling in the Score Card. WorldWinner describes the game as based on the rules of YAHTZEE, except that the player spins five reels showing dice faces instead of rolling five dice. The game ends once the Score Card is filled or the player runs out of time.
Setup
The screen has three parts. The Slot Reels show the current hand of five dice results. The Score Card above them has 13 Scoring Boxes: six Above the Line (Ones through Sixes) and seven Below the Line (Sum, 3 of a Kind, 4 of a Kind, Full House, Small Run, Large Run, and Yahtzee). The Powerup Tray sits between the reels and the Roll button and holds collected powerups.
Controls
Tapping the Roll button spins every reel that is not held. Tapping a reel holds it, and tapping it again releases it. After each spin the Score Card highlights the boxes that are valid for the current hand, and tapping a box locks in the score. Powerup icons that land on a reel are tapped to collect them, after which that reel spins again to a normal result from 1 to 6. A collected powerup is used by tapping it in the tray, but not while the reels are spinning.
How a game ends
Each hand allows up to 3 rolls. When the rolls run out the player must select a Scoring Box, and choosing a box that does not match the hand scores 0 for that box. The game ends when the Score Card is filled or the clock runs out, and WorldWinner converts any remaining time into bonus points at 2 points per second. Turbo mode ends when the player runs out of lives.

How YAHTZEE: Roll Dice, Win Cash scoring works

WorldWinner's help center publishes the full scoring table for this game, and the values are roughly ten times the classic tabletop numbers. The rows below follow that table.

Worked scoring example

Suppose a hand ends on 5-5-5-5-6. In the Fives box it scores 4 x 50 = 200 points. In 4 of a Kind it scores the sum of all the dice times 10: 26 x 10 = 260 points, and if a Multiplier Chance sits on that box the score doubles to 520. The trade-off is the Upper Sheet Bonus. Reaching 630 Above the Line is the same as three of each number (30 + 60 + 90 + 120 + 150 + 180), so 200 in Fives puts a player 50 points ahead of that pace, toward a 500-point bonus that is also required for the 1,000-point Perfect Game Bonus.

Skill and fairness

WorldWinner's help center states that all players within the same tournament are provided with the same starting hand, board layout, or cards, and that larger formats such as Fixed Prize Unlimited Entry may use different starting conditions of similar scoring potential. WorldWinner does not publish, for this title, whether later rolls are the same for every entrant, so this guide does not claim it.

The skill lies in allocation. There are 13 boxes and every hand must go somewhere, so players decide when to chase a Large Run or a Yahtzee, when to accept a smaller sure score, and which low-value box to spend on a poor hand so that no box ends on 0.

Bonuses change the math compared with the tabletop game. The Upper Sheet Bonus (500), Perfect Game Bonus (1,000), and Yahtzee Bonus (500 for each additional Yahtzee) together can be worth more than most single boxes, and x2 Multiplier Chances reward scoring the right box at the right moment.

Powerups add a further layer of decisions. Eraser reopens a locked box but subtracts the points it held, Extra Roll adds a roll, Tip It moves one reel up or down by 1, and Wild makes one die count as every face. The tray holds 3 powerups, and WorldWinner notes that collecting another while it is full gives a small score bonus instead.

According to WorldWinner, opponents are matched by a per-game skill rating, and WorldWinner states that players never face bots. No result is guaranteed. Cash tournament availability varies by location, device, and account, and eligibility is checked before any paid entry. Practice games carry no entry fee.

Expert tips for YAHTZEE: Roll Dice, Win Cash

  1. Lock in a Yahtzee as soon as it appears. WorldWinner's first tip: no x2 bonus ever appears on the Yahtzee box, so there is nothing to wait for. At 1,000 points it is the largest box on the card, and filling it opens the door to the 500-point Yahtzee Bonus for any later Yahtzee.
  2. Prefer the rarer box when a hand fits two. WorldWinner advises that it is usually best to choose the rarer scorecard when there is a choice. A hand that qualifies as both a Full House and 3 of a Kind, for example, is better spent on the Full House, because 3 of a Kind is easier to fill later.
  3. Take the Large Run when it shows x2. WorldWinner calls a Large Run with a Multiplier Chance the second highest scoring chance after the Yahtzee. A doubled Large Run is worth 800 points, so a x2 on that box justifies spending rolls to complete the run.
  4. Save Sum as the bailout. The Sum box always scores more than 0. WorldWinner suggests keeping it for a bad hand, which protects the Perfect Game Bonus, since that bonus needs a score above 0 in every box.
  5. Spend poor hands on low upper boxes. WorldWinner notes that it is sometimes best to use bad rolls on the lower upper boxes. A weak score in Ones costs at most a few tens of points against the 630-point target, while a 0 in a Run or Full House costs 250 to 400.
  6. Track the 630 pace. Three of each number totals exactly 630 Above the Line. Four of a kind in Fives or Sixes puts a player 50 or 60 points ahead of pace, which buys room for a short count in Ones or Twos.
  7. Collect every powerup, even with a full tray. A powerup icon that is collected makes its reel spin again to a normal die result. WorldWinner states that collecting a powerup with 3 already stored gives a small score bonus instead, so there is no reason to leave one on the reels.
  8. Use Tip It and Wild to finish big boxes. Tip It moves one die up or down by 1 (a 6 can become a 1 or a 5), and Wild counts as every face. Both are most valuable when they complete a Large Run, a Full House, or a Yahtzee rather than adding one die to an upper box.
  9. Treat Eraser as a net trade. Eraser subtracts the points of the box it clears. It gains points only when the replacement score beats the old one, so it is best aimed at a box holding 0 or a very low score.
  10. Play easy hands quickly. Remaining time converts at 2 points per second, so a minute saved is 120 points. That is meaningful but smaller than any major box or bonus, so speed belongs on obvious hands, not on the close decisions.

YAHTZEE: Roll Dice, Win Cash modes

YAHTZEE: Roll Dice, Win Cash questions, answered

How does YAHTZEE: Roll Dice, Win Cash work?
Players spin five reels that show dice faces, hold the reels they want, and roll up to 3 times per hand. Each hand is locked into one of 13 Score Card boxes, and the game ends when the card is full or time runs out. Powerups, x2 Multiplier Chances, and a time bonus add to the score.
How is YAHTZEE: Roll Dice, Win Cash scored?
Upper boxes pay the face value times 10 for each matching die, from 10 per One to 60 per Six. Sum, 3 of a Kind, and 4 of a Kind pay the sum of all dice times 10, Full House pays 250, Small Run 300, Large Run 400, and Yahtzee 1,000. Remaining time adds 2 points per second.
What bonuses are there in WorldWinner YAHTZEE?
The Upper Sheet Bonus is 500 points for at least 630 Above the Line. The Perfect Game Bonus is 1,000 points for scoring above 0 in every box while also earning the Upper Sheet Bonus. Each additional Yahtzee after the first earns a 500-point Yahtzee Bonus, and a Multiplier Chance doubles the box it sits on.
What do the powerups do?
There are four. Eraser clears a locked Scoring Box so it can be scored again, and subtracts the erased points. Extra Roll adds a roll, Tip It moves one die up or down by 1, and Wild makes one die count as every face from 1 to 6.
Can you play YAHTZEE for real money on WorldWinner?
WorldWinner runs YAHTZEE: Roll Dice, Win Cash as a skill tournament in which players can compete for cash prizes where available. Cash play varies by location, device, and account, and winnings are never guaranteed.
Is YAHTZEE: Roll Dice, Win Cash free to play?
Yes, practice games (WorldWinner calls them Warm-Up tournaments) have no entry fee. WorldWinner's rules note that players who have not made a deposit are limited to 25 Warm-Up entries per calendar day and 600 per calendar quarter in this title, under its agreement with the game distributor.
Is WorldWinner YAHTZEE skill or luck? It uses dice.
Reel results are random, but WorldWinner runs the game as a skill tournament and states that players in the same tournament receive the same starting conditions. Scores separate through hold decisions, box selection, powerup use, and pace. WorldWinner also matches opponents by a per-game skill rating.
What is Turbo mode in YAHTZEE: Roll Dice, Win Cash?
In Turbo mode the player starts with a limited number of lives and loses one every time a Scoring Box is chosen. Hearts appear at random on boxes at the start of each hand, and scoring on a box with a heart returns a life and adds time. The game ends when the lives run out.
What happens if no box matches the hand?
After the third roll the player must pick a Scoring Box. Picking a box that does not match the hand scores 0 for that box, which also rules out the Perfect Game Bonus. WorldWinner suggests saving the Sum box for this situation because it always scores more than 0.
Are there cheats for WorldWinner YAHTZEE?
No legitimate cheats exist, and WorldWinner bans multi-accounting and collusion. The practical edge is knowing the published point values and bonuses and practicing box selection in free games.
