Can You Play WorldWinner Outside the US? Canada, UK, and Europe

WorldWinner's help center describes the service as available worldwide, but cash play is a different matter. WorldWinner publishes three things that decide it outside the United States: the eligibility rules in its terms, a list of restricted countries and regions in its help center, and the statement that its mobile app is only available for US and Canada players. The table combines them.

This page repeats WorldWinner's published lists as of the review date. It is not legal advice and draws no conclusion about the law in any country. WorldWinner states that it complies with US and international skill-gaming laws, and it notes that countries not on its list may also be prohibited.

Canada is the one country outside the United States that WorldWinner's terms address directly. They make eligible anyone who is at least 18, owns the email address on the account, is a legal resident of the US or Canada with a US or Canadian address, lives at that address, is physically located in the US or Canada, and is in a state or province where participation is not restricted by law. Cash play is offered in Canada except Quebec, with Ontario also listed as restricted.

Canadian players can use the WorldWinner mobile app, which WorldWinner says is available only for US and Canada players, as well as web play in a browser. WorldWinner's help center also says players in Quebec may not use Bonus Bucks to enter cash tournaments.

The detail that catches Canadian players out is withdrawals. WorldWinner cannot mail checks to non-US accounts, so a withdrawal that would be paid by check to a Canadian address is rejected and returned to the balance as a Withdrawal Reversal, typically within 14 days. Checks happen whenever a withdrawal exceeds what was deposited by card or Apple Pay, because those methods can only be credited back up to the amount deposited through them. WorldWinner recommends depositing with PayPal or Venmo, which avoids checks.

On taxes, WorldWinner's help center says international tax forms are mailed and emailed from late February to mid-March. This guide does not give tax advice for any country.

WorldWinner's terms state that eligibility for players outside the United States is void in the European Union and other territories where participation is prohibited or restricted by law. That statement covers every EU member state, whether or not it appears on the help center's country list.

Twelve EU members are also named individually on that list: Bulgaria, Croatia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, and Sweden. Several non-EU European countries are listed as well, including Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, the Russian Federation, Serbia, and Ukraine.

Free play in the EU is less clear-cut. WorldWinner's corporate site says its games can be played for free anywhere in the world, while its terms say that all non-US and non-EU players can always take part in warm-up tournaments, a statement that leaves the EU out. Players in the EU should expect cash play to be unavailable and confirm anything else with WorldWinner before playing.

The United Kingdom is not on WorldWinner's restricted list and is no longer part of the EU, but that does not make it an open market. WorldWinner's terms say that non-US mobile app players may not be able to deposit or join cash tournaments, and that non-US desktop and web players may be prohibited from depositing and banned from cash tournaments. Its help center says the mobile app is only available for US and Canada players, and that checks cannot be mailed to non-US addresses.

The same applies to any country not named on the list. WorldWinner's terms require a non-US player to be at least 18, to own the email address on the account, and to be physically located in a jurisdiction where the chosen tournament is not restricted or prohibited by law. Its help center adds that countries and regions not on the list may also be prohibited from depositing, withdrawing, or playing for cash and prizes.

The practical step for anyone outside the US and Canada is to ask WorldWinner Player Services, before depositing, whether cash play and withdrawals are available at their location. A deposit that cannot later be withdrawn by an available method is the outcome to avoid.

WorldWinner's help-center article on restricted countries and regions says that anyone who lives in, is visiting, or is passing through the places below cannot deposit, withdraw, or play cash tournaments on WorldWinner. The list has 48 countries plus the Canadian province of Ontario. Names appear as WorldWinner lists them; the regional grouping is this guide's, added for readability.

Cash eligibility follows where a player physically is, not where the account was opened. WorldWinner requires location sharing for cash play, and its restricted-country article applies to anyone visiting or passing through a listed country. A US player on a trip to France, for example, cannot deposit, withdraw, or enter cash tournaments until back in an eligible location. The balance stays in the account in the meantime.

WorldWinner states that VPNs and private browsing are not supported. Its terms allow it to block players who use proxy servers or any other method intended to conceal their true location, and to block players whose location it cannot accurately verify. The terms also allow winnings to be voided and accounts closed for violations, so using a VPN to appear eligible risks the balance itself.

Near a border, a device can connect to a cell tower or Wi-Fi hotspot on the restricted side. WorldWinner's help center suggests contacting the internet service provider in that case. The troubleshooting guide lists the other location fixes that WorldWinner has published in its help center.
